Subcontracting

Verein Rhyboot is a private organization in the Rheintal region that creates conditions for living, working, professional adaptation, and training for people with various forms of disability. Due to limited space in the existing workshops in Altstätten, a new centralized complex with modern and bright workrooms was implemented.

Today, this building is one of the largest and most modern wooden structures in eastern Switzerland. DMBAU AG was awarded the contract for the complete range of timber work as a subcontractor in an open tender. The implementation of the project made an important contribution to the development of regional timber construction.

Approximately 1,500 m³ of round timber from St. Gallen and Appenzell was used during construction, emphasizing the project's close connection to local resources and the region. The use of locally sourced wood and minimal logistics distances ensured the facility's high environmental performance.

Key features

  1. One of the largest wooden structures in the region
  2. Open and expressive wooden structure
  3. Workplaces for approximately 200 employees
