General contract

Spital Lachen is a regional medical center offering a wide range of services. As part of the phased complete renovation of the more than 100-year-old complex, a decision was made in 2012 to add a new ward building using capital modular construction technology.

The building was constructed as a total contractor using 76 capital modules.

In 2017, the building was extended. Over a period of three months, 12 new comfortable single and double rooms and a patient lounge area were added. The hospital continued to operate as normal during the construction work, with operations and construction work being carefully coordinated.

Key features of the project

  • Continuous operation of the hospital throughout the entire construction period
  • Private room with all amenities
  • Minimal emissions thanks to high factory readiness
  • Possibility of dismantling with reuse
